We would like to inform you that unfortunately Dr Evans will be on long term leave due to illness.
This may have an impact on the usual high level of service that the Practice provides, but we will be providing locum cover where appropriate using some of our regular local locum GP's.
We would like to ask for your patience and understanding at this time. Thank you.
Our Administration and Support Team
Supporting the clinicians is a dedicated team of staff who take on a variety of administrative roles. They are led by a Patient Services Manager.

Reception
Ensuring the smooth operation of the practice, a team of 10 Receptionists cover the office opening hours.

The reception team is available from 8.00am to 6.00pm - including lunch times - Monday to Friday.

The reception team book appointments, arrive patients, answer queries and manage repeat prescription requests.
They are trained and required to field telephone calls for clinicians, pass on test results and generally signpost patient queries to the appropriate person or organisation.

Secretaries

Our team of secretaries cover each morning from 8.00am to 12.00noon and between them field calls and queries for the doctors as well as dealing with all correspondence (in and out), maintaining home visit requests and tracking patient referrals.
Health Promotion and Data Input

Other key support roles are in administration and health promotion. There is a massive amount of data - electronic and paper - which has to be organised and processed. This includes ensuring new patients registrations are managed, clinical notes are prepared, recall clinics are arranged and relevant data is scanned and coded to patient records.

Most of the correspondence received about patients from other healthcare providers is read, actioned and then captured to individual patient notes.

These functions are managed by a data-input team.

Other GP information

We are instructed by the DoH that practices are to publish certain financial information about how much the doctors earnings are from their NHS contracted work.
